AISB MS Business Club
The AISB Business Club is devoted to being a student led after school activity that exposes middle school students to basic business concepts through their own experience.
Why?
Mission: educate students about basic business concepts and inspire them to develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
Vision: to create an exemplary initiative that focuses on spreading ethical and sustainable business concepts and practices for middle and high school communities.
What?
You might learn from what you read and hear, but true learning happens when you learn from your own experience. This is the philosophy of the AISB MS Business Club.
Daniel Gerlei, Founder of the AISB MS Business Club
We have thematic sessions: on every session we tackle an important area of business.
Basic concepts, everyday use – We collected the best practices, exercises and games from business education for middle and high schoolers which will be practical, engaging, and fun. The real life business project completed by students is enriched by Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaires Club program, and experts from our community.
We have interactive discussions with our distinguished guests from real businesses at almost every session.
How?
The best idea is the one that is actually done.
Daniel Gerlei, Founder of the AISB MS Business Club
Low on theory high on practice – there are lots of games (with business relevance) and we put the learnings immediately into practice.
The club runs for ten weeks with a two-hour session every week.
Each starts with short introductory activity connecting to the topic of the day (eg. marketing, sales, packaging), followed by a discussion with an expert in the subject. Then the members work on the relevant segment of their real-world business project in their teams.
Who?
At the end of the day, the relationships count.
